Welcome to The Black Boy, Winchester.
Latest Update 15/12/2023:
We are sticking to our roots as a back street boozer and still not serving food except for our street food run from the garden shed some evenings and on the weekends. The Pizza boys who used to do pizzas on Tuesdays and Thursdays will now be stopping after Christmas as they have started their own business in the old Black Bottle building. As yet we haven’t decided what the next idea will be, but we’re working hard to come up with something!. I know that a lot of pubs now take reservations, we are keeping it all traditional and not taking any reservations. This means the less organised of you, should always be able to find a table. We look forward to seeing you all soon.
Christmas Hours
Hours will be as normal with the exception of Christmas Day when we will be closed and New Years Eve, when we will only be open from 1200hrs to 1800hrs.
Tucked away on Wharf Hill, off Chesil Street in Winchester, The Black Boy is still faithful to its origins. Although recognised in most of the well known beer and pub guides, it is still a traditional back-street boozer.
The pub has 5 locally brewed real ales and a small selection of good wines.
On the off-chance there is a summer, there is a sheltered rustic garden with heaters.
Opening hours are currently:
Monday – Thursday: 12:00 – 23:00.
Friday and Saturday: 12:00 – 00:00.
Sunday: 12:00 – 22:30.
