Welcome to The Black Boy, Winchester.

Covid-19 Update:

It looks like we are going to be able to open up again
The plan is to open the garden first on a “bring your own” basis. It will be £10 per head to enter and you bring your own booze and food. There will be a maximum of 6 to a table and no more than 2 households on each table.
Garden will open on 14th April and will be open from 5pm – 11pm Wed – Fri and 3pm – 11pm Sat and Sunday.

The pub will open indoors from the 17th May when the “bring your own system stops. All government social distancing guidelines will be adhered to. We will not be serving food or taking any reservations.

Tucked away on Wharf Hill, off Chesil Street in Winchester, The Black Boy is still faithful to its origins. Although recognised in most of the well known beer and pub guides, it is still a traditional back-street boozer.

The pub has 5 locally brewed real ales and a small selection of good French wines.

On the off-chance there is a summer, there is a sheltered rustic garden with heaters.

Opening hours are currently:
Monday – Friday: 12:00pm – 2:30pm & 5:00pm – 23:00pm
Saturday: 12.00pm – 00.00am
Sunday: 12.00pm – 22.30pm
